Fieldway expands our Healthcare base with appointment to NHS SBS Framework

Fieldway are pleased to share that we have been appointed to the Building Safety and Fire Compliance Framework Agreement, operated by the NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS). As a vetted supplier on the framework agreement, Fieldway will continue to expand our existing base of healthcare contracts, delivering specialist services for NHS buyers.

We have been successful across three individual lots, demonstrating our availability and capability to deliver fire safety services to London and the South East, as well as the rest of the UK. These lots include:

  • Lot 1.1 – Fire Safety – Passive Fire Safety
  • Lot 1.2 – Fire Safety – Active Fire Safety
  • Lot 1.3 – Fire Safety – Fire Risk Assessments and Consultancy Services

What is the Building Safety and Fire Compliance Framework?

The NHS SBS Building Safety and Fire Compliance Framework Agreement provides services including active fire, passive fire, asbestos management and PAT testing from pre-approved, compliant suppliers (such as Fieldway).

More than 99% of NHS trusts use NHS SBS services, ensuring they can easily access the Building Safety and Fire Compliance Framework Agreement and when they need.

The framework agreement creates a trustworthy, one-stop-shop for NHS organisations to identify appropriate contractors for their needs whist ensuring they receive the best services, from qualified suppliers, in line with the Building Safety Act 2022 and other regulations.

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust

Our most recent, ongoing contract is the fire compartmentation upgrades of various buildings managed and owned by the Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Awarded the contract for through the previous NHS SBS Framework Agreement in January 2024, we have since progressed through the works with several properties that have already provided a complete solution.

We are creating programmes off the back of detailed compartmentation surveys, delivering the works across a number of NHS buildings including:

  • Sevenoaks Outpatients Department (ODP)
  • Victoria Deal
  • Dover Health Centre
  • Tonbridge

We recognise the importance of working flexibly and being responsive to the requirements of the Trust’s employees and service users. Fieldway have therefore implemented measures to maintain the patient experience, demonstrating continued sensitivity, compassion health and safety throughout.

Fieldway’s Healthcare Strategy

Fire safety legislation and regulation has increased in the wake of the dreadful Grenfell Tower disaster; now more than ever, the public sector is reckoning with the reality that some of their buildings (including NHS properties) fail to meet modern standards of safety and fire resistance.

Healthcare buildings across England face mounting infrastructure challenges – and as a supplier of active, passive and electrical services, Fieldway have positioned ourselves (through the framework agreement) as the capable and tested solution for NHS Trusts’ tackling fire safety concerns.

Fieldway have ambitions to continue our growth within the healthcare industry, expanding our presence across the NHS organisations through our determination, proven ability, and dedication to the public sector.
