Scope of Works : Fieldway have undertaken compartmentation surveys across numerous buildings on the University of Liverpool campus, identifying breaches in fire safety compliance and outlining our recommended actions and materials required to resolve the issues. Our successful and swift provision of detailed surveys led to delivery of associated fire stopping works recommended per our surveys.
Our FIRAS Surveyors undertook detailed surveys at University of Liverpool properties, which includes a comprehensive visual inspection of the existing fire compartmentation provisions to floors, walls, roof spaces, basements, floor and ceiling voids, risers and shafts where present. They work their way around each property and take photos of all breaches in compartmentation. Each breach is provided with an individual reference number with detail captured including photographic evidence, location of breach in the building, level of risk, and actions required to rectify the breach including necessary materials.
We adapted our works to ensure we maintained a segregation of works from the general circulation areas of the sites, minimised disruption wherever possible, and adhered to our stringent H&S policies for the protection of both our on-site staff and the building users.
Each site has been allocated a FIRAS Supervisor who manages the quality of on-site teams and ensures timely delivery. They maintain constant communication with UoL site staff whilst completing the works and report to our Head of Passive Fire with their findings. Regular progress meetings with UoL staff includes updates on H&S, workmanship and delivery within budget. We utilise our works management system JobLogic to generate customer tailored reports to demonstrate KPI compliance.
