In August 2023, following a competitive tender process on the EEM framework Fieldway was awarded the contract to deliver compartmentation surveys and remedial works for South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) on 50 communal rooms and approximately 50 flat blocks including De Freville Road and Mays Avenue.
Fieldway are FIRAS certified to deliver high quality passive fire protection, demonstrating our proficiency in offering premium compartmentation surveys and remedial works to our clients.
Our in-house team of surveyors created a schedule of works using postcode data collected from SCDC, maximising their ability to conduct multiple surveys per day and per week. Our surveyors undertook surveys on a site-by-site basis – completing communal rooms surveys of the individual flat block within the same visit to minimise disruption to residents.
All blueprint drawings for survey sites were uploaded onto our OneTrace application during mobilisation. Our surveyors then ‘pinned’ locations where remedial work was required. The surveyor included notes covering the type of the issue, recommended actions, recommended fire stopping materials, and photographic evidence documenting the extent and severity of each locations non-compliance. We then quoted for, and won, the chance to provide our recommended remedial work for SCDC.
