In December 2020, Fieldway were awarded the contract to undertake the design, supply and installation of fire alarms, emergency lighting and other safety systems to 4 sheltered schemes in the Yorkshire County for YHG. These were:
- Glebe House, Harrogate
- Headrow Court, Bradford
- Orchard House, Leeds
- Peters Court, Leeds
With more than 28,000 homes across the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands, Your Housing Group has a large and diverse portfolio. These range from general properties for social and affordable rent, through to retirement living developments and innovative private rental offers such as Nuvuliving.
We installed Advanced MX Pro panels into the buildings with Hochiki detectors, call points and sounders fitted into the communal areas. Each individual dwelling was also fitted with a new Grade D1 Category LD1 interconnected AICO smoke alarm system. All work was completed in line with BS5839-6 as per the specification.
All installs were overseen by contracts manager Tony McEvoy who managed each programme of works. During mobilisation detailed programmes for each installation were created and communicated to the operatives to ensure that all aspects of the delivery and on-site requirements were fully understood. The programmes included set project milestones and we tracked the project progress through weekly site meetings to review targets.
