In Early 2021, Fieldway were awarded a 2 year contract through the Procurement for Housing Fire Safety Framework to become the designated Passive Fire Contractor for Christian Action Housing. The type of work we are conducting includes fire door upgrades, compartmentation works and intumescent seal installations.
Prior to the contract, Frankham Consultancy Group were brought in to undertake Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) at the request of Christian Action. Fieldway were then selected to complete the necessary remedial actions from these FRA’s, undertaking site surveys to ascertain the work required and completing the actions in line with agreed SORs.
Our first assignment was at Enfield Foyer where they had an issue with some fire doors that had been installed. There were breaches to 26 flat entrance fire doors that were picked up on a recent FRA which required suitable rectifications. We completed repairs including new hinges, intumescent strips, drop seals and door closers. Whilst we were on site, we also noticed a breach to 3 sets of cross-corridor fire doors. We undertook our own FRA and completed the necessary works, demonstrating our holistic approach to passive fire safety.
We have received excellent feedback from Christian Action Compliance Manager David Mayell as follows:
“Fieldway have got off to an excellent start with Christian Action. The staff always act in a polite, curtious and professional manner. We continue to look forward to working with Fieldway over the coming years.”
