Following a competitive tender on the Procure Plus Framework, Fieldway were appointed to deliver fire door remedial works resulting from fire risk assessment recommended actions. The scope of works involved the repair and replacement of minor works including, new hinges, closers, seals and adjustments – as well as fire door replacements where it was deemed necessary.

 

MSV own and manage almost 9,000 homes in Greater Manchester, Lancashire and West Yorkshire. In response to the housing crisis in the North West, MSV assist first-time buyers, millennial generation, those on low incomes, and those in need of specialist housing in finding the right homes for their individual needs and requirements.

 

With our vast history of varied and nuanced experience in delivering fire safety works across the UK, our highly trained, FIRAS accredited team of joiners were uniquely qualified to successfully deliver this contract for MSV. Works are determined off the back off Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), where we undertake the remedial actions identified. We batch up actions at properties is close proximity to streamline the programme.

 

MSV currently possesses 900 fire doors requiring remediation, with an estimated required 1200-1500 remedial actions per year. To accommodate the high level of works required, we have ensured our operative resource is maintained and supported at all times throughout the contract. Our technicians are cross-inducted across multiple contracts – we eliminated the possibility of delayed responses by our team through ensuring a technician was available at all times within the vicinity of MSV’s properties should they be needed.

 

All remedial work has been completed on time, within budget and with no defects, cementing our reputation for consistent first-time fixes.
