Through our continued relationship with Onward Homes, in 2016 we acquired the contract with Cobalt Housing to service and maintain their fire alarms, emergency lighting, CCTV, door entry, intruder alarms, AOVs, air conditioning, dry risers and sprinkler systems at their properties in Norris Green, Fazackerley and Croxteth.
We use direct labour to deliver this contract, supported by specialist contractors. All engineers are supplied with a tailored van stock to enable the completion of PPM and repairs during first visits. Parts usage is monitored and tracked to replenish the van stocks by our Buyer, who also manages our local stores facility. When a part is not available through the van stock, engineers source parts from our stores or our framework of approved national and independent suppliers depending on the region they work in.
Throughout the contract period with Cobalt we have developed an excellent rapport through continued added value and excellent customer service. As a result we were awarded work to carry out upgrades of fire detection devices following Fire Risk Assessments to 960 of their properties. We installed new hardwired, interconnected smoke, heat and carbon monoxide detectors to the properties and heat detectors in the communal corridor and stairwell spaces.
