Fieldway have secured a three-year contract with Rochdale Boroughwide Housing, focusing on the execution of essential passive fire remedial works based on actions identified in Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs). We complete works across 806 properties including high rise buildings, low rise buildings, independent living schemes and campus buildings. This comprehensive programme involves a specialised team comprising skilled joiners and fire stoppers, all of whom are under the supervision of experienced FIRAS Supervisors and the company’s Head of Passive Fire.

 

The scope of the project encompasses various critical passive fire works, primarily focusing on the meticulous repair and enhancement of fire safety measures as stipulated in the FRAs. Fieldway’s skilled team is tasked with addressing a range of fire safety concerns, with a particular emphasis on door repairs, which include the installation and maintenance of closers, strips, and seals. Additionally, the project involves the upgrade of FD30/60 doors, ensuring that all fire doors comply with the necessary fire safety standards and regulations including BS 8214.

 

Moreover, Fieldway’s dedicated team is responsible for undertaking essential compartmentation work, using a variety of industry proven materials to enhance the fire-resistant barriers within the housing units. This meticulous approach to compartmentation work is aimed at effectively containing and minimising the spread of fire within the properties, thereby significantly reducing the potential impact of fire-related incidents on the safety and security of the residents.
