Fieldway have recently been awarded through the Procurement for Housing framework the contract to Service, Maintain and Repair Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting, Fire Extinguishers and Fire Blankets to 350 properties across the Borough of Charnwood.

  • Repairs first time fix 95%

During mobilisation, we put together a carefully planned out resource schedule to complete the contract. The engineers for this contract were sourced from our pool of over 50 directly employed multi-skilled operatives, all with the appropriate qualifications and vast experience working in social housing. The dedicated team includes 2nr service engineers, 1nr repair engineer and 1nr emergency call out engineer.

We worked with Charnwood Borough Council to develop a servicing programme based around asset expiry dates. All expiry dates were uploaded onto our works management system JobLogic and individual property files are created which contained current asset lists. Asset data is maintained throughout the contract to ensure compliance by guaranteeing our van stock is appropriately tailored. We group our work schedule where possible based on postcode and by combining visits based off multiple disciplines. This helps to drive efficiencies of the programme and reduces the number of visits required.

We ensure that operatives are given contract specific inductions before starting on site, which provides insight into how we expect them to operate and communicate with tenants. All staff are trained to prioritise customer satisfaction which is demonstrated through scores of 9.8/10 on average on resident feedback forms. Due to the nature of some of the properties we are working in, all operatives have received safeguarding training to ensure they act and communicate appropriately with vulnerable adults and children.
